St. Lawrence College Welcomes New Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer  
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to welcome Erin Farrell to its executive team as the new Senior Vice-President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Erin will begin her new appointment on February 1, 2024.  Erin’s role will include leading the College’s Finance, Risk and Insurance, Facilities Management, and Information Technology Services. Erin is well known to SLC, as she has been at the College for close to ten years, with most of that time as SLC's Director of Finance. 
St. Lawrence College to Offer Registered Nurse – Prescribing Program
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is pleased to announce that it will offer new training to registered nurses (RNs) to expand their role to include prescribing of medications. Earlier this year, the Ontario government announced they would allow registered nurses to prescribe medications, after meeting specific requirements, for certain conditions such as contraception, immunizations, smoking cessation, and topical wound care in a variety of settings including long-term care homes and retirement homes.
St. Lawrence College Graduate Wins Provincial Premier’s Award 
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is thrilled to announce that alumnus Saifullah Sanaye is the recipient of a prestigious provincial Premier’s Award in the Apprenticeship category. The announcement was made November 27 during a ceremony to celebrate Ontario’s outstanding college graduates in Toronto. 
Colleges call for immediate provincial investments and modest five per cent tuition increase
St. Lawrence College (SLC) along with Ontario’s 24 colleges are calling for an immediate end to the province’s tuition freeze, a modest five per cent tuition increase, and enhanced investments in Ontario’s public college students. The colleges’ urgent call for improved investments follows the release last week of a report by a provincial blue-ribbon panel of experts on financial stability in post-secondary education. Ontario’s public colleges support the panel’s work and appreciate the government establishing this process.
Honorary Diploma Nominations Now Open at St. Lawrence College
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is now accepting nominations from the public for Honorary Diplomas, which are awarded by the St. Lawrence College Board of Governors each year at spring Convocation ceremonies in Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall.  Honorary Diplomas are conferred in each community by the College to individuals or organizations that demonstrate incredible community engagement, leadership, innovation, and integrity. Recipients are chosen because they are an inspiration to SLC students, alumni, and communities.
